A new drug to quit smoking introduced. Also a study finds that overweight mothers deliver bigger babies.
New Delhi: Have you been trying to quit smoking?
A new drug has been introduced to help one get rid of the smoking habit. Chantix is a drug designed to reduce the craving for a smoke.
The drug also lessens the sense of satisfaction that smoking renders. The US Drug Administration has approved it. And it will very soon be in Indian market.
Another health report says that overweight moms give birth to bigger babies, according to a new study from Saint Louis University.
It says that mothers who do not lose extra weight after the previous pregnancy have bigger babies and this could mean difficult and longer labour or even a C-section.
The child too is at increased risk of developing life-threatening infection.
