Mumbai: A Dubai–Kozhikode Indigo flight had to make an emergency landing at Mumbai airport after a passenger tried to enter the cockpit on Thursday morning. The CISF has taken two passengers into custody immediately after the aircraft landed in Mumbai.
According to CISF sources, one of them manhandled a few passengers and tried to enter the cockpit 30 minutes after the flight took off. His brother tried to overpower him and stop him. It is being said that the man who created ruckus was mentally challenged.
The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after the incident.
CISF is not commenting on whether he was shouting pro-ISIS slogans. But sources in Mumbai airport claimed that the flight got diverted to Mumbai after a passenger shouted ISIS slogans.
Aircraft landed at 9:15 AM and took off from Mumbai around 10:15 AM.
