Unsolved profit sharing issues will affect the release of the film.
New Delhi: Highly-anticipated Abhay Deol-starrer Dev D will not be releasing in multiplexes across the country this Friday due to differences between the film's producer, UTV and multiplex owners over profit sharing.
According to reports, UTV has demanded 45 per cent share of the profits from multiplex owners, which is not acceptable to the latter.
As a direct consequence, UTV has decided to not release this Anurag Kashyap film in multiplexes.
However, single screens will screen the film, that’s a modern-day take on the life of Devdas.
Unresolved profit sharing issues may also affect other big upcoming releases like Dilli 6 and Billu Barber.
