New Delhi: Two months after a BMW ran over two people including a pregnant lady in Gurgaon, Haryana, little headway seems to have been made in the case. Now, supporters of Kshama Shetty, the victim in the case, have planned a candlelight vigil on Saturday.
Kshama's parents are still in hospital battling for their lives. Her husband Sailesh still cannot walk. "It stopped my life. I don't know if I have anything to look forward to now," Sailesh said.
What is worse is that the family hasn't even received justice. The police probe has not made any significant headway. Sailesh said that the police met him only once. The prime accused, Suraj Sherawat, the son of a wealthy property dealer, was soon out on bail.
The police refused to talk to CNN-IBN. But sources said that even Suraj's driving licence is yet to be given to the policemen. Frustrated, Kshama's brother turned citizen journalist for CNN-IBN.
Meanwhile, the Sherawats are back in their home and clearly appear to have moved on.
When CNN-IBN visited their house a month and a half back it wore a desserted look. Today the Sherawats are back in this house. Suraj Sherawat's life is back to normal now while the Shettys are still trying to pick up the pieces.
