BANGALORE: Former chief minister and Lok Sabha member N Dharam Singh welcomed the state government’s decision to allot land for setting up of the proposed Advanced Light Utility Helicopters manufacturing facility by the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd in Bidar district. Speaking to Express here on Friday, former Singh, who along with the Union Defence Minister A K Antony took the intitiative to set up the HAL’s manufacturing facility at Bidar, one of the most backward districts in the North Karnataka has welcomed state government’s decision to provide over 500 acres of land for the purpose. The state Cabinet which met on Thursday have approved the proposal to provide over 500 acres of land to the HAL to establish its manufacturing facility to produce the Advanced Light Utility Helicopters in Bidar.
