HC dismisses Orthodox plea on St Peters church

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday dismissed an application filed by the Orthodox faction seeking a direction to the state  to maintain status quo in the matter of religious worship and administration of the St Peter’s Orthodox Syrian Church, Puthencruz.    A Division Bench comprising Justice V Ramkumar and Justice P Q Barkath Ali passed the order   while hearing the case on Friday. The court observed that if such an order was passed it could only lead to further anarchy and confusion.
