Horses go on the rampage in Dindigul

DINDIGUL: Panic reigned in Dindigul Town on Wednesday as two horses went on the rampage, chasing passers-by and biting a man in the process.The two horses were chasing a mare along the Siluvathurai Road near the railway gate, when the animals suddenly turned on each other and then tried to bite passers-by.  It took the local residents over two hours to chase the animals away from the area, but not before a man was  bitten.After horse-drawn carts were banned in Dindigul Town, the owners of the animals have let them loose, without providing them fodder or water.These animals have now become a menace, roaming the streets unattended and disrupting traffic.
