PARADIP: The centre superintendent of Artatarna High School at Gajrajpur received threat calls while the CI of schools was manhandled after he expelled a few students for alleged malpractice in the HSC examination on Saturday. The district administration and the Education Department have made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the examination. However, the measures have not gone down well with many. Centre Superintendent Bisamber Mallick was reportedly asked to be lenient during the exam. He reported the matter to CI of Schools Prasant Kumar Swain who sought the intervention of DSP. On Saturday, when a squad led by Swain expelled few students of Jaikrushna Vidyapeetha at Ibrisingh for cheating, the guardians assaulted him. Police detained two persons who were later released on PR bond. Swain said 20 students had been booked for malpractice.
