Hurdles cleared for RoB land acquisition

KOCHI: The confusion which prevailed over acquiring two specific plots for the North rail overbridge renovation has been settled, District Collector PI Sheik Pareeth has said. The plot was handed over by the land owners when the District Collector met them. After completing the procedures the amount for the land will be transferred to the owners, the District Collector said. The vacancies in the land acquisition units for the metro rail project will be filled at the earliest.Of the two land acquiring units, one will manage the acquisition works from Edappally to the North and the other would look into the acquisition works in southern areas.”“To speed up the activities, two tahsildars and required staff will be appointed,” Pareeth said.
