In a city that thrives of the game of cricket, it looks like the addiction is all set to hit a new high.
Recently, an indoor cricket facility, Netz Cricket was launched at Citi Centre. With three bowling lanes, where balls can be bowled up to speeds of 160 km per hour, it’s a good thing that the space is set up on the terrace of the mall (roofed from above), far from shoppers – albeit already ‘bowled over’ by the current Aadi discounts.
Actor Karthi, who was present at the launch, said, “Cricket and I are far apart. But hopefully, I will learn somehow to play the game here.” Amid a packed crowd of fans, children, families and curious shoppers who arrived for the event, the actor made his way to one of the lanes to try his hand at batting. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen, with the crowds coming perhaps too close for comfort for the BOLA bowling machine to be turned on. The actor added later, “I think this is going to be really exciting for people. Now you can play even in the night.”
Netz Cricket is promoted by Fayaz Ahmed, director, ETA Star, Nawaz, founder partner, Netz Cricket and Adithya Venkataswami, CEO, Netz Cricket.
