New Delhi: If the recent rumours are to be believed, the next-gen iPhone, unofficially dubbed iPhone 5S, will feature a display carrying twice the pixels than the current generation, iPhone 5. Chinese gadget blog WeiPhone reports that Apple may not increase the screen size, but the number of pixels on the screen will increase from 730K on the iPhone 5 to 1.5 million on the next-gen iPhone.
The report further says that the new iPhone will come with a thinner bezel, thereby adopting the iPad mini like design, and will ship in Spetember.
WeiPhone has reported correct details about Apple products in the past, but at times its reports could not prove to be accurate. Also, speculations are rife that the iPhone 5S will come with a quad-core processor and run iOS 7.
Earleir reports have suggested that Apple is set for a possible summer launch of the next iPhone, that some are calling the iPhone 5S, rather than a fall launch like the last two models.
Apple is also working on a cheaper iPhone model that could win it some market share in developing countries. Apple doesn't comment on future products before its launch events.
