KCR poser to Naidu on his mothers lands

HYDERABAD: TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has challenged TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to disclose the source of funds of her mother who had purchased two sites, one worth Rs 30 lakh and another worth Rs 19 lakh, and gifted them to him.Rao, flaunting a copy of a document, told reporters here on Sunday that Naidu’s mother was the wife of a farmer who had only two acres of land.“Let the people know from which bank she had drawn the money and whether income tax had been paid on it,” he said.The TRS chief also wanted Naidu to declare the sources of the Rs 22 crore money which he spent on his son’s education at Stanford University, California, US.Rao’s poser to Naidu was in retaliation to TDP leaders’ charge made in Naidu’s presence that he owned 70 acres of land.“I want him (Naidu) to prove that I have 70 acres of land.I challenge him to prove it or quit public life,” he said.Rao recalled asking Naidu in the Assembly, when Naidu was chief minister, to bring chief minister under the purview of Lok Ayukta.“Naidu, without giving a reply, left the House,” the TRS chief said.
