Kolkata: Heavy showers cause water-logging

Kolkata: Heavy thundershowers woke Kolkata on Friday morning. In fact, overnight rains have left several parts of the city waterlogged.

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has been working to drain out the water.

While the showers have stopped for the time being, the MET predicts more rainfall through the day.

The weather condition is unusual for this time of the year and the MET cites the reason as a depression over the Bay of Bengal.
