New Delhi: Congress on Monday downplayed Railway Minister Lalu Prasad's claim that he was "India's minister number one", brushing aside suggestions that it was an attempt to undermine the Prime Minister and senior Ministers.
"We have not seen the news report and therefore the question of reacting to it does not not arise. We leave it to Prime Minister (to do the grading)", party spokesman Satyavrat Chaturvedi said .
Chaturvedi said all ministers were working well in their areas and everyone has right to claim credit for himself.
Lalu had claimed at a function in Bihar on Sunday that he was the "minister number one" and said his ministry was poised to cross another milestone with profits likely to touch the Rs 20,000-crore mark this year.
