New Delhi: LG is all set to officially announce the launch of its new flagship smartphone, the LG G3, in India on July 21. While LG will introduce the phone next week, it has already made its way to an Indian e-commerce store. The phone is up for pre-order on Infibeam.com for Rs 46,990.
The LG G3 is available in two models - 16GB for Rs 46,990 and 32GB for Rs 49,990. According to the website, the phone will be available starting July 25.
LG's new phone has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 538ppi, which the company says is four times the resolution of HD and almost two times higher resolution than a full HD display. The LG G3 boasts a screen ratio of 76.4 per cent with thin bezels.
Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with a clock speed of up to 2.5GHz. It has 3GB of RAM.
Its 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus) includes the Laser Auto Focus system, which is claimed to shoot sharp images in a fraction of the time required by conventional phone cameras.
LG says the G3's 2.1 megapixel front camera incorporates several new enhancements such as a larger image sensor and larger aperture for more light throughput; the result could be your improved selfies. The company has added gesture controls in the standard timed selfie mode - when ready to shoot, simply clench your hand into a fist and the G3 will recognise the gesture and begin the automatic three-second countdown.
The phone has a polished metallic skin on the rear cover that is fingerprint-proof. The LG G3 comes packed with a 3,000mAh removable battery and 1W speaker.
