Man held for killing two daughters

ONGOLE: A man was arrested by the police at Pamuru on Wednesday night for killing his two daughters. According to the police, Kaleema, wife of Pathan Majeed Khan, lodged a complaint that her husband  murdered their two daughters.Majeed took away his elder daughter Shakeerulu from home 12 years ago when she was eight. Shahida was taken away from home a year ago when she was 16. He told his family members that his two daughters were getting education in Hyderabad. Majeed also told them that the two girls would not be sent home till they attained the age of 20 years.Kaleema started pressurising her husband to bring her elder daughter home as she attained the age of 20 recently. When she continued pestering him in this regard, Mazeed finally revealed on Wednesday that he  murdered his two daughters to avoid payment of dowry for their marriages. He threatened to kill Kaleema and her two sons if she revealed the matter to anyone.Pamuru circle inspector Baljeer Naik said Majeed had confessed the crime.
