Mumbai: For a lazy afternoon siesta, its best to head to the nearest bookshop and connect with words.
And when the bookstore boasts the presence of Jostein Gaarder, author of the internationally acclaimed book Sophie's World, it's a visit well worth it.
"This is my first time in India. I like Indian philosophy and India is the source of philosophy and thinking,” Gaarder says.
Among other things on the schedule for the author who has come down to India, is to launch the Hindi version of his latest book Orange Girl. And Gaarder admits he is not quite well versed with the language.
"Its true but I don’t really understand the letters. I don’t judge a book by the outside for it could be ugly outside, but beautiful inside,” he says.
The author who is on an eight-day visit to India says inspiration strikes him when he is out and about on the streets.
"I cannot move my mind without moving my body,” he says.
