PARADIP: With the State Government deciding to expedite work on the Posco plant, a team of officials led by CMD of IDCO Pradip Kumar Jena undertook a survey for construction of a new bridge at Baliyamara under Gadkujang panchayat. It would facilitate road communication and transportation of construction materials between Erasama and Posco site. Jena directed the engineers to prepare bridge design and give an estimate for the construction work.Sources said the 123-metre-long bridge would be made of steel at a cost of ` 4 crore.Jena also interacted with villagers of Noliashai and Nuagaon and sought their cooperation in the steel plant project. He told the villagers that the State Government had decided to sort out all the rehabilitation issues of the villagers in the presence of RDC (central).Later in the day, Jena conducted a review meeting with the district officials over the Posco work. District Collector NC Jena, ADM Surjeet Das and Special Land Acquisition Officer Nrusingh Swain were present.
