New Urban development policy soon

MYSORE: A Ravindra, advisor to the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Urban Development, said that the new urban development policy which focuses on comprehensive development of urban pockets will be placed before the Cabinet soon.At Statecon-2011, organised by CREDAI here on Saturday, he said that the state is witnessing rapid urbanisation covering an area of 40 percent as against 31 percent across the country. He said that 2.2 crore, out of 6 crore population, are living in cities which is likely to go up by five times in next 40 years.
