CHENNAI: The Bible Society of India (BSI) has digitised the Bible into audio books in 12 different languages. The idea is to help the illiterate and those with visual and other disabilities, read the holy book. The audio books are available at the exhibition-cum-sale organised by the BSI as part of its annual event.The exhibition has over 820 different variety of Bibles from various publications of the world. Also, to attract children, 45 types of children's Bibles, 600 copies of DVDs on biblical stories and 1,600 theological books are on display.M Mani Chacko, General Secretary, The Bible University of India, who inaugurated the function, said, "The Christians should have the temptation of making the Bible a commercial one in terms of the production, marketing and translation.” The exhibition-cum-sale of the Bible will be on till March 5 at Bishop Manickam Hall, 41, Harleys Road, Kilpauk.
