New Delhi: The contesting parties in the BCCI election dispute before the Supreme Court, have agreed to conduct elections for office-bearers to the Cricket Board by November 30.
The parties submitted a notice before a bench comprising of Justice B P Singh, Justice S B Sinha and Justice P K Balasubramanyan that they had reached a consensus to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect office-bearers in the presence of an observer.
The parties said the observer would have the powers to decide all disputes, which included deciding the eligibility of voters and as well as the candidates.
They said that the dates of the AGM, which would be held on or before November 30, would be fixed by the BCCI in consultation with the observer, adding that only the observer would have the power to adjourn the AGM.
