PM Modi Defends Urjit Patel, Says Why Attack the RBI Chief

Congress MPs staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘bathroom’ remark against predecessor Manmohan Singh.

“For almost 35 years, Manmohan Singh had a lot of influence on the country’s economic policies… There was not even one taint on him. Bathroom mein raincoat pehen kar nahaane ki kala sirf Dr. Sahab (Manmohan) hi jaante hain (only Manmohan Singh knows how to bathe in a raincoat),” PM Modi said.

Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day in the evening.
