A film in four languages with the same title, 'Charulatha' is contesting with another release of the week, 'Cyber Yugadol.....Madhuva Prema Kavyam' in Karnataka.
'Charulatha', a horror based cinema lead by Priyamani, national award winning actress donning the conjoined role is said to be one of the toughest roles of her career. Priyamani, known for taking such challenges in the peculiar role and this is for the first time for Indian actress. The conjoined separated further leads to various complications. The relevance of Mantravadi also raises doubts that Dwarakish Chitra is still in the hangover of 'Aptha Mithra'. This 'Charulatha' is inspired from Thailand film 'Alone'.
'Vishnuvardhana', directed by Pon Kumar and starring Sudeep, Priyamani and Bhavana and produced by Dwarakish Chitra, is the director for the second consecutive film. Panner Selvam is the cameraman and Sundar C Babu is the music composer for 'Charulatha'.
Skanda of Malayalam films, Seetha, Sudarshan, Sunethra, Master Manjunath and others are in the cast.
Another 'C' letter starting film of the week 'Cyber Yugadol....Madhura Prema Kavyam' is from a bunch of newcomers. Highly confident director Madhuchandra says the angle he has given to the love story film and climax are for the first time in Indian silver screen. What exactly is 'Love' - the materialistic and real meaning of it is the base of the film. However it is examination time for Madhuchandra who worked in the camps of Yogaraj Bhat, Upendra, Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar.
Vasu Dixit and Abhilash Lakra have scored music for this film. For the title selection, director Madhuchandra organized a contest.
Gurunandan, Shwetha Srivatsav, Veena Sunder, Sunder, Sharat Lohitashva, Acyuth Kumar, Sushma, Monojava and others are in the cast.
