Speaking at the first meeting of the monitoring committee constituted for the purpose, Sheik Pareeth said that administrative sanction for the projects for arranging the basic infrastructure would be issued on Tuesday. Sheik Pareeth had visited the sites for rehabilitation at Thuthiyoor and Vaduthala on Monday. The expected cost of developing basic infrastructure at the sites at Moolampilly, Kothad, Mulavukad, Thuthiyoor, Vaduthala and Thaikkavu has been estimated around Rs 1.5 crore.

In all, 14 families evicted for the ICTT project will be rehabilitated at the land at Mulavukad. Measures have been taken to ensure water, electricity and road connectivity to the site, the authorities said. For the project to provide drinking water Rs 2 lakh will have to be spent while electricity and road connectivity projects will cost Rs 3 lakh each. Water and electricity connectivity have been arranged at the land allotted to the evictees at Moolampilly. For the road connectivity to the land, there requires an estimated Rs 4.5 lakh. An isolated family, which has been allotted land at Kothad, will be given land along with others.
