The state has released Rs 50 lakh for the fourth Cabinet meeting that will be held at the Vidhana Soudha here on October 4. This is the fifth Cabinet meeting in the district.
The preparations, including repairs, are in full swing. Official sources told Express that it will take place in the meeting hall of the Regional Commissioner’s office. The Chamber of Regional Commissioner would be for Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and the chambers of two additional regional commissioners would be the chambers of the Deputy Chief Ministers.
Press briefing would take place at the auditorium of DC’s office on the first floor. Letters have been sent to hotels to keep rooms from October 3 to 4 evening.
Three guest houses of the PWD in Gulbarga city and Gulbarga University Guest Houses are booked for the Chief Minister, his Cabinet colleagues and senior officers. The Regional Transport Officer has been asked to keep 100 cars ready. District- level officials of Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal and Bellary are preparing proposals to hold the Cabinet meeting in their districts. The proposals would be sent by October 1.
