THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader and Kattakkada MLA N Sakthan was sworn in as the pro tem Speaker of the 13th Assembly. Governor R S Gavai administered him the oath of office. Sakthan will chair the Assembly when it meets on June 1. He will swear-in all other MLAs and will conduct the Speaker election scheduled for June 2. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy attended the swearing- in ceremony.
