KOCHI: Samanvayam-2012, an animal fest jointly organised by the District Panchayat and the Animal Protection Board, will begin on Saturday at Rajendra Maidan and the School of Marine Science’s auditorium at the Foreshore Road.Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution K V Thomas will inaugurate the fest at 10 am. Excise Minister K Babu, Public Works Minister V K Ebrahim Kunju, Agriculture Minister K Mohanan, Hibi Eden MLA, District Panchayat president Eldhose Kunnappilly and Mayor Tony Chammany will also be present at the event.
