THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The security was beefed up in the capital ahead of the Babri Masjid demolition anniversary that falls on December 6. Special police patrolling team was posted at vital locations in the city. This time, owing to the international attention received by the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple after unearthing the temple treasure, security in and around the temple has been further tightened.Besides deploying additional force, specially armed police patrol would be deployed at the temple. According to police, they would keep on tracking the pilgrim-flow. Already 58 CCTV cameras had been installed with control room being set up in the office of the DCP in charge of the temple security. Metal detectors are in place and the devotees would be closely monitored through the 24x7 high-definition cameras.
