After tragedy struck the left limb of horse 'Shaktiman' who was allegedly attacked by Uttarakhand BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi, the road to recovery still seems to be far. In an attempt to save the ailing horse's life, his leg was amputated and later given a prosthetic limb.
The expert team monitoring his situation feel that the prosthetic limb might not be able to support his weight of over 400 kilograms. According to reports, prosthetic limb for Shaktiman is a first-of-its-kind experiment in India.
Such limbs have been fixed on donkeys and small horses weighing less than 200 kgs and that leaves the success of a similar experiment on 400 kilograms weight Shaktiman in doubt.
BJP leader Joshi was arrested on March 18 amid outrage from several sections of the society.
However, his daughter Neha Joshi cried conspiracy in the entire episode leading to the arrest of his father. She also blamed media for airing doctored videos of the incident.
