Two teenaged girls of MP village commited suicide as they feared that their parents would not let them get married to each other.

New Delhi: Two teenaged girls of Narsinghpur district in Madhya Pradesh committed suicide on Monday night by hanging themselves from a tree.

The girls ?Rajni, 15 and Sudaha, 13 ?were both residents of Tendu Khera village in MP and had been missing since Monday evening.

In the suicide note that was found near the girls, the two wrote about their love for each other and also about their fear that no one would accept their relationship.

Station House Officer, R B Tripathi said, "One of the girls was dressed in bridal wear while the other was clad like a groom."

The family members of the two are still in a state of a shock. They refuse to accept the fact that their daughters had a lesbian relationship and that they wanted to get married to each other.

Rajni?s father, Ishvardas says, "She was a normal girl and when she went missing we thought that she had eloped with a boy. We can?t believe that she was in love with another girl."

This is a first case of its kind in the area and people are yet to come to terms with the concept of same-sex marriages.

What's your reaction?
