Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, Katrina Kaif, all are not part of the big budget Bollywood saga, this time they are the dash of stardust as the Indian Premiere League launched in 2008.
While Shah Rukh Khan put together his team the Kolkata Knight Riders and made a song and dance of it, there was plenty of chemistry between Preity and Yuvraaj as they came together for Kings XI Punjab.
And a year later, the Bollywood brigade is back with its notable business partners to make their pitch. While King Khan was missing in action, Kolkata Knight Riders' other owner, Juhi Chawla took charge of the game plan.
“We were clear we just have one slot, we need a bowler,” says Juhi Chawla.
And Juhi found her bowler in Bangladesh’s Mashrafe-e-Murtaza who was also being eyed by Kings XI Punjab's Preity Zinta.

But all eyes are on the new player in the stands, Shilpa Shetty with her boyfriend Raj Kundra has thrown in 77crores behind the last year's champs Rajasthan Royal and Shetty's already playing hard ball.
“This is my first time, I’m learning a lot, Preity might be experienced but we've got the best team,” says Shilpa Shetty.
Last year also saw Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif cheering for the Delhi Daredevils and Bangalore Royal Challengers respectively. While Khiladi Kumar has bailed out, Kaif will continue backing Bangalore.
And the attention on cheerleaders will continue, Shah Rukh Khan and Saurav Ganguly have announced a talent hunt to choose new cheerleaders for the Kolkata Knight Riders and the whole process will be come a television show called Knights & Angels to be aired on NDTV Imagine.
If the stars will bring in the glam quotient then a host of cheerleaders will bring in their song and dance routine.
So this year get ready for lots more lights, camera and action as IPL part two rolls out.
