We will maintain the secrecy of the complainants,” Mishra told Express.Within a day of establishment, officials received a complaint against a child marriage from Arni. The Collector directed District Social Welfare Officer G Sailakshmi to conduct an inquiry into the complaint. “We stopped the marriage and advised the parents to get their daughter married  with her consent after she turns 18,” said Sailakshmi. So far, the cell has received 24 complaints.
