BHUBANESWAR: MBA students of Utkal University will have a cool summer, unlike previous years, as the classrooms are all set to be air-conditioned. The department has five classrooms. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted Rs 6 lakh for the purpose. There is also a proposal to add two new classrooms and expand the existing library of the department. After almost 10 years, the department will be revising its curriculum for the next academic batch. ‘’The students taking admission for 2012-14 batch, both regular and executive courses, will have to follow the revised course,’’ said HoD JK Panda. The course for integrated MBA was revised recently.ANNIV FETE: The department is celebrating its annual function __ Crossroads 2012 __ a two-day event. The event, inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of the university PK Sahoo, saw cultural performances by the students on the first day. A fashion show with models walking the ramp was highlight of the cultural programme. A Speed Maths Test for the management students is in the offing for the second day on Sunday. For the first time, a rock band will be performing during the annual function. The department has roped in popular band ‘Vignaaz’.
