KOCHI: An 87-year-old woman died in a fire accident at Udayamperoor on Sunday. Bhanumathi, wife of Vasu, Vaishnav House, Udayamperoor, died after her dress caught fire from a lamp. Even though family members rushed and doused the fire, Bhanumathi suffered major burns. Later, she succumbed to injuries in the hospital. The body will be handed over to the family members after conducting a postmortem on Monday.
