Woman DSP loses job on graft charge

HYDERABAD: Deputy superintendent of police P Venkata Ratnam was relieved from her duties on Wednesday on corruption charges. SA Huda, additional director- general of police (Law and Order), issued orders on Wednesday removing her from service.Venkata Ratnam had been selected under Group-I services under direct recruitment category-II in 2007 and posted as DSP of Ramachandrapuram in Medak district.The police officer was found indulging in corrupt practices and had been placed under suspension on Monday.Since her continuation in the police department is a serious detriment to the public and the service, Huda terminated her service with immediate effect
