Many people dread waking up early. Come Sunday, and we resolve that from Monday morning we will wake up early and work out. Mondays come and go, but we are unable to keep up with our resolutions. But, did you know that one of the biggest reasons for our failure is not being able to wake up in the morning? As per religious beliefs, Brahma Muhurta is considered to be the best time to wake up and start a day afresh. It is believed that sleeping till late in the morning will also affect other aspects of our lives. Waking up late is considered to invite poverty. In Hindu religion, Brahma Muhurta has great importance in Hindu religion. Brahma Muhurta is from 4 am to 5:30 am and is considered to be an auspicious time of the day. It is believed that getting up early and doing your work within this time frame will pave the way for success. This will also please Goddess Lakshmi and help you prosper.
Here are a few tips to make sure you wake up early during Brahma Muhurta-
Set an alarm not for the morning but for the night
Instead of setting an alarm in the morning, set an alarm at night to sleep on time. Coming to bed does not mean scrolling on my phone or watching TV. Unwind from your gadgets and instead relax your body by reading or meditating. If you sleep early at night, it will be easier for you to wake up early in the morning. If you are setting an alarm for the morning, then make sure to keep your alarm clock or phone away from you so that you have to get out of bed to turn it off.
Decide a morning routine
If you pre-plan your morning routine, you will be excited for the next day and be able to wake up early. Set your routine in a way that will make you enjoy doing it. Be it going for a swim, reading, writing, painting, gardening or listening to music. Do what excites you.
Do not have a heavy dinner
If you have a heavy dinner, it will hinder your motivation to wake up early in the morning. Hence, make sure you are having a light dinner at night. Whatever your diet is, make sure you have half the amount of rice or wheat and double the amount of vegetables. Instead of having four rotis, eat 2 rotis or instead of 2 bowls of rice, opt for one.
