Darshan, who remembers the early days very well, shared about his experience in an old interview. A director called him to his office and said that he would make Darshan as main lead. But the director asked him to change his name. Darshan thought about it 10 times before taking the decision.
“I met a big director in his office. I was playing villain roles at that time. During the conversation, the director agreed to do a film with me as the main lead. But he said that my name is not good. He asked to change my name. Even though he is a big director, I felt I had to say something,” said Darshan.
“Please don’t change. Don’t compromise for anyone even if you don’t get a chance. This is the name my parents gave me with love. So I replied to the director that I would continue as before. You will not change the name of the given character. I said thank you and left the office. After that, I left his film as villain,” the actor added.
