Anushka Sharma made a stylish return to India on Wednesday morning and attended an event in Mumbai later that evening. During her interaction at the event, the actor opened up about her family life, sharing how she and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, personally prepare meals for their children, Vamika and Akaay. She emphasised the importance of passing down family recipes to the next generation and discussed her commitment to maintaining a routine for their kids.
Speaking at the event, Anushka said, “We had this discussion at home that if we don’t make the food our moms made at home, then we won’t be passing these recipes on to our kids. So, sometimes I cook, and sometimes my husband cooks, and we really try to replicate the way our mothers did. I cheat a little by calling my mom to ask for recipes, but it’s so important. It’s like you’re passing on something valuable to your children.”
She also shared how she maintains a routine for her children, even with the family’s frequent travels. “I am very particular about routine. We travel a lot as a family, and my kids experience many changes in their lives. So, by creating a routine for them, I am giving them a sense of control. Meal times are fixed, no matter where we are, we eat at the same time and sleep at the same time. It helps them regulate themselves much better,” she explained.
Anushka returned to India without her children or Virat Kohli this time. This marks her second visit to India since the birth of their son, Akaay. She was previously in India for the IPL in May.
There have been rumours that Anushka and Virat have moved to the UK, and the couple is often seen strolling through the streets of London. Anushka hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2018’s Zero, but she is expected to return with Chakda Xpress, a sports biopic about cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Filming for Chakda Xpress wrapped up recently, and the release date is eagerly awaited by fans.
