Archana Puran Singh Laughs At Those Claiming Kapil Sharma Wraps Up Netflix Show Due To 'Low TRP'
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Kapil Sharma has wrapped up the last episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Archana Puran Singh has reacted to those claiming The Great Indian Kapil Show is going off-air due to low TRP. On Wednesday, the actress took to her Instagram handle and dropped a video which began with screengrabs of reports which claimed that Kapil has wrapped up TGIKS due to “poor viewership” or “declining TRP”.

Next, the video featured glimpses of Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover and Kiku Sharda among others, who can be seen laughing out loud. It then indirectly dismissed ‘low TRP’ reports with the text that read, “Humein laga sirf hum acchi comedy karte hain (We thought only we are good comedians).” The clip then confirmed that The Great Indian Kapil Show’s season is not over yet. It revealed that in the upcoming episodes, Farah Khan, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao among others in the upcoming episodes.

In the caption of her video, Archana Puran Singh wrote, “Yeh laughter kabhi nahi hoga kam, kyunki there are more episodes to come .” Watch it here:

For the unversed, earlier this month, it was revealed that Kapil Sharma has wrapped up the last episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. This left many wondering if the show was going off-air due to low TRP.

However, later, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Kiku Sharda revealed that the wrap-up is only “temporary”. He confirmed that the team will be back with the second season of TGIKS after a short break. “We have done 13 episodes and the second season will come out soon. We have just wrapped up the first season. It was always meant to be like this. We have already planned the next season and it will come out soon. There won’t be a very huge gap,” he told us.

Kiku admitted that the show used to run for a longer time on television but added that they switched to digital to try a different format. “On television, it used to be longer but it is about different formats. This is also interesting. There will be a short gap now and the second season will be back soon. It sounds like a wrap because we make it look like it. But it is temporary. We will be functioning soon again,” he added.

The Great Indian Kapil Show premiered on Netflix on March 30, 2024. So far, it has welcomed guests like Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol among others.
