Feel Scared To Watch Myself On Screen: Ashutosh Rana
The series is a social commentary that dives into a mysterious murder case and the underworld of Mumbai.

Actor Ashutosh Rana, who has been in the industry for over three decades, shared that he still gets goosebumps when he sees himself on screen and called it an “extraordinary” feeling.

The actor, who will be seen playing the role of Peter in the upcoming psychological thriller Murder in Mahim, shared, “I have always been passionate about acting and strive to reach my full potential; and when I see myself on screen, I still get goosebumps. It is an extraordinary feeling. It is a feeling that makes me at peace with my being.”

On his upcoming show, Ashutosh said, “I feel that OTT platforms have changed the way we look at content. I have been lucky enough to play some compelling and badass characters.”

“I have noticed that crime and mystery films are becoming increasingly popular with Indian audiences. They offer viewers the opportunity to immerse themselves in complex stories and characters and break down the boundaries between black and white. I am honoured to portray some iconic characters who, while not necessarily influential, still have a strong resonance with audiences”, he added.

The series is a social commentary that dives into a mysterious murder case and the underworld of Mumbai and focuses on the reconciliation of a lost friendship between Peter (Ashutosh) and Jende (Vijay Raaz).

Based on a critically acclaimed book by author Jerry Pinto, the gripping series is directed by Raj Acharya and produced by Tipping Point Films and Jigsaw Pictures. The series also stars talented actors Shivani Raghuvanshi and Shivaji Satam in lead roles.

Set against the backdrop of a gruesome murder at Mahim station, the show follows Peter as he gets embroiled in the investigation of this dark crime. Matters intensify when his son, Sunil, becomes a suspect. Amid this, Peter and Jende find themselves immersed in a realm of hidden longings, extortion and unvoiced love as they pursue the elusive killer. Murder in Mahim will be available to stream on JioCinema from May 10.
