Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda Join Vidya Balan for Srijit Mukherji's 'Begum Jaan'

Bengali film based during the partition of Rajkahini won laurels when it released in October 2015. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the film featured some of Bengali cinema's biggest names like Rituparna Sengupta, Jisshu Sengupta and Abir Chatterjee. Now, Mahesh Bhatt has roped in Mukherji to remake the film in Hindi. While the news of Vidya Balan playing the title role was already known, now the rest of the cast of the film has also been finalised. Gauhar Khan shared a photo of the entire cast on Twitter on Wednesday morning. Along with Khan, the film features Ila Arun, Pallavi Sharda, Mishti, TV actress Reedhima, Flora Saini and others. The film's shoot has already begun in near Bolpur, West Bengal- which is where the original Bengali film was shot. The cast and crew have been sharing photos from the sets on their social media profile.

Rajkahini caught everyone's attention soon after the makers released an extended version of 'Bharat Bhagya Bidhata'. A verse of which is the country's national anthem.
