Huma Qureshi is an actress who is not and does not aspire to be in the rat race and yet continually nails each role that she is offered. More of a critically acclaimed artist rather than one running after the box office, Huma Qureshi has also made a mark on international cinema as she appeared in an important role in Zack Snyder’s zombie action horror film Army of The Dead. The actress has also been praised a lot for the ongoing web series Maharani and is currently shooting for her upcoming project Gulabi while she just finished filming Pooja Meri Jaan.
As she has been shooting for back-to-back projects with a hectic schedule, it comes as no surprise that Huma may be facing issues of sleep deprivation. The actress has now revealed what takes away her sleep deprivation and leaves her feeling energetic. If you are wondering what it is, it is seeing her maiden novel at bookstores. Huma Qureshi has authored a book revolving around a fictional hero titled Zeba: An Accidental Superhero which came out in December last year. Recently, Huma Qureshi was in the airport and happened to catch a glimpse of her book in a bookstore inside the airport.
Huma Qureshi shared a photo of the book in the bookstore on her Instagram stories and captioned it, “No matter how sleep deprived, this always perks me up.” The actress unveiled Zeba: An Accidental Superhero on December 2 during her session at the 12th edition of the Bangalore Literature Festival in the Karnataka capital. She described the book as a narrative centred around a woman with a rebellious streak, ultimately becoming the saviour of the world. It’s a tale crafted for those who feel like outsiders, individuals who don’t quite fit into society.
Huma Qureshi will be seen in the role of an auto rickshaw driver in the upcoming Gulabi. The movie revolves around the theme of women’s empowerment and was announced on International Women’s Day. It is being directed by Vipul Mehta.
