Imran Khan REVEALS Being Co-Parents With Ex-Wife Avantika: 'I Cook, I Drive Imara To School'
Imran Khan got candid about being co-parents with ex-wife Avantika to their daughter Imara.

Imran Khan chose to leave behind his glamorous celebrity lifestyle and adopt a minimalist way of living after withdrawing from the cinematic world. In a previous discussion, Imran talked about abandoning his opulent home to live more simply, owning only a few household items. Recently, he revealed that he personally takes care of his daughter, without the help of a nanny.

He shared with Hindustan Times that he manages all of his daughter Imara’s needs on his own, including driving her to school and cooking the meals he can. He emphasized the importance of being present in her life, especially during his periods of depression over continuing his acting career, “I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. I put her to bed. And that also is something that I was very conscious… rather than going off and trying to act in movies while I’m depressed. I was like, forget that. The most important thing is she should have the memory and the experience that in my childhood, my dad was the one who would drive me to school,” he shared.

In further comments to the pottal, Imran explained that he and his ex-wife, Avantika Malik, share custody of their ten-year-old daughter, splitting the week between them. He affirmed that their divorce is finalized and all legal documents have been signed. Despite the public nature of their professions, Imran felt that these were personal issues not necessary to share with the wider public. He is currently in a relationship with Lekha Washington.

He continued, “I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. I put her to bed. And that also is something that I was very conscious… rather than going off and trying to act in movies while I’m depressed. I was like, forget that. The most important thing is she should have the memory and the experience that in my childhood, my dad was the one who would drive me to school.”

Previously known for his debut in the hit film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, and roles in movies like Delhi Belly and Katti Batti, Imran left the film industry following his last film. With recent activity on social media, there is speculation about his possible return to acting.
