Alia Bhatt continues to shine wherever she goes. Reports suggest that the Bollywood diva has become the ‘most visible’ celebrity at the Met Gala. With this achievement, she has surpassed several prominent globally popular names including Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, and others.
Meanwhile, Alia’s saree was designed by renowned couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee. It took 1965 man-hours and around 163 artisans to bring this dreamy ensemble to life. Speaking to Ashley Graham during the event, Alia looked all excited to adorn the piece at the Met Gala 2024.
She shared, “I’m feeling great. I’m feeling very excited. Months of preparation, lots of conversations and all builds up to this one moment. It’s so surreal but it’s also very special. It’s my second time at the Met, but my first time wearing a saree. When I thought of the dress code, ‘Garden of Time’, I felt it needed something timeless and there’s nothing timeless than a saree.”
