Raghava Lawrence has now come up with a new philanthropic movement, which he has named Maatram, meaning ‘change’ in English. He announced the movement on Wednesday, on the occasion of Labour Day and said this new initiative was to help the farmers of the country, whom he called the backbone of the nation.

“Hello, friends and fans, On this special occasion of “Labour Day,” I am delighted to announce the commencement of the #Maatram journey under the initiative “Service is God” through our charitable trust. As a first step, I will personally provide 10 tractors for farmers – the backbone of our nation. I invite everyone to join us and support us on this selfless journey of serving those in need. Let’s demonstrate through action that our commitment to service speaks louder than words. I am grateful for all your support and blessings,” he wrote on his X account.

He also included a video clip of the ten tractors he had purchased to give away to the farmers in the post. Later, in yet another post, he declared that the first tractor had already been delivered to a farmer named Rajakannan from Villupuram district.

Raghava Lawrence has a bunch of interesting projects in the works. He is working on Benz directed by Bakiyaraj Kannan and Hunter directed by Venkat Mohan. He will also appear in a big-budget untitled story with director Vetrimaran.
