Parineeti Chopra is enjoying the success of her latest film Amar Singh Chamkila and the love she’s receiving for her performance. In the film, she stars alongside Diljit Dosanjh, who plays the late Punjabi singer Chamkila, while Parineeti portrays his wife and singing partner, Amarjot Kaur. Parineeti’s singing in the movie has impressed fans, but did you know she’s always been interested in singing?

An old video of Parineeti from 2004 is now going viral on the internet. She was just 16 at the time, years before her debut in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl alongside Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in 2011. In the video, Parineeti, along with other children, sings a patriotic song called Desh Ki Sewa. She looks beautiful in an orange suit with light makeup and a stylish bob haircut.

Dr. NS Manhas, Director, Head of Programmes, DD Chandigarh, had commented on the video on YouTube saying that the songs featuring Parineeti Chopra and her colleagues were produced at DD Chandigarh in 2004. At that time, nobody knew that Parineeti would become a Bollywood star.

Meanwhile, Parineeti Chopra’s husband, AAP MP Raghav Chadha, had to undergo emergency eye surgery in London because of a retinal hole and the actress will visit him soon. He’s still recovering there and will return to India once the doctors give him the green light. A family friend told HT, “She kept visiting him and was with him during several doctor visits. When she was busy with the release of her film Amar Singh Chamkila, she kept a check on his health through phone calls. In fact, she is expected to visit him in London soon," the insider added.

Recently, Parineeti took to the microblogging site X, previously known as Twitter and expressed gratitude for the love she’s receiving for Amar Singh Chamkila. She wrote, “Currently curled up in my blanket. Overwhelmed with your words, your calls, and the movie reviews. (Tears are not stopping). ‘PARINEETI IS BACK.’ These words are ringing loud. Hadn’t thought of this. Yes I am back, and not going anywhere! #Chamkila." The film Amar Singh Chamkila is directed by Imtiaz Ali and is available to be streamed on Netflix.
