Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein Re-Release Mints Over 3 Crore; Will It Outperform Its Original Collection?

Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, starring Dia Mirza and R Madhavan, was re-released in cinemas on August 30 and has once again grabbed audiences’ attention. The romantic drama, known for its timeless love story and iconic soundtrack, is reportedly performing better at the box office compared to its original release. A fan favourite for decades, the film continues to win hearts.
Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, grossed about Rs 5.36 crore during its original run. As per a Pinkvilla report, it has already earned Rs 3.2 crore in 10 days of re-release. Reportedly, the film’s re-release is likely to outperform its original release. The publication mentioned that the film is particularly doing well in Pune, where the majority of its revenue has come from. Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein has received roughly Rs 75 lakh in 10 days in the city, which is quite rare for most films.
Post the re-release of the film, Dia Mirza and R Madhavan resorted to social media to thank their fans for their support. They also held a live Instagram session, during which they discussed many topics. The duo uploaded a clip from their live session and wrote, “We just wanted to say a BIG thank you #RHTDM for all the love you have shown us over the last 23 years and the love you are giving the film in theatres right now.” During the session, she also recalled their shooting day and mentioned, “We were travelling from one place to another for 14-18 hours, constantly going from one place to another. We would often catch up on our sleep on the flight. The film was also shot that way – we had shot in South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Mumbai. The film’s release date was announced before we finished the bhaag daud.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, R Madhavan was last seen in Shaitaan, co-starring Ajay Devgn. The film earned rave reviews from both fans and critics. He will next act in Shankara and De De Pyaar De 2, co-starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. Dia Mirza was last seen in the film IC 814- The Kandahar Hijack which also starred Vijay Varma, Pankaj Kapur and others.
