Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'souza visited a polling booth in Latur, Maharashtra to cast their vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza visited a polling booth in Latur, Maharashtra to cast their vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Polling for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections is being held on Tuesday across 94 constituencies, covering 10 states and one Union Territory.

In a video that surfaced on social media, Riteish and Genelia were seen stepping inside a polling booth to cast their vote. While Riteish was seen dressed in a white kurta, Genelia looked prettiest in a yellow saree. The two stood in a queue and waited for their respective turns before they could cast their votes.

After voting, Genelia also spoke to the news agency ANI outside the polling booth when she urged everyone to go and vote saying it is “very important”. “This is an important day. Voting is important. Every citizen must go and vote. I think this is very important,” she said. Riteish also added, “I came to Latur from Mumbai to cast my vote. Everyone should come out of their houses and cast votes. Today is an important day. Everyone should definitely vote.”

Riteish and Genelia tied the knot on February 3, 2012. They had their first son, Riaan, in November 2014 and their second son, Rahyl, in June 2016.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Riteish Deshmukh is best known for films including The Villain, Housefull 2, and Bluffmaster. He was last seen in a Marathi film titled Ved. The actor has a few films in the pipeline including Housefull 5, Dimakhilal, Masti 4, Visfot, Kakuda, 100% and Raja Shivaji to name a few.

Besides this, Riteish has also joined the cast of Ajay Devgn’s Raid. The second instalment of the movie is being directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also directed the first film. The sequel, currently in production, is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under their banners T-Series and Panorama Studios. Reportedly, the film is being shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. It is set to hit theatres on November 15 this year.

On the other hand, Genelia Deshmukh is set to appear in Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par. However, details about her character in the movie have not been disclosed yet. Reports suggest that the film might hit theatres on Christmas this year.
