Ever since the announcement of Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar, fans have been eager to know more about the storyline, cast, and all things in between. Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the film will be released on April 18, 2025. Buzz is that Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf have also come on board for the film.
A source close to the development informed Pinkvilla that Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf will be playing key roles in Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy. “It’s a pure family entertainer with romance in its backdrop, much like the kind of films that Shashank has made over the years. The premise of SSKTK is very close to the kind of films that Dharma is known for, as it celebrates love with colour, music, scale, and a strong star cast. Joining Varun and Janhvi are Sanya and Rohit.”
The source also added that Sanya and Rohit would share a very interesting dynamic with Janhvi and Varun. “The makers are all set to take the film on floors in a fortnight. Apart from some international shoots, the journey on SSKTK begins with a schedule in Mumbai, followed by Rajasthan,” the source further added.
Earlier, reports were rife that the beloved ‘VARIA’ aka Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were not returning for Dulhania 3. Varun and Alia were seen in the blockbuster films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania by Shashank Khaitan. However, it was said that Alia would not be returning to the franchise, and Janhvi Kapoor was to fill her shoes in the third film. But it looks like Karan Johar has come up with a new franchise. The teaser introduces Varun and Janhvi’s character names set to a peppy song titled ‘Ishq Manzoor’. Check it out here:
Varun and Janhvi have a few movies in the making this year. While Varun is busy with the remake of Theri with Atlee, which will be seen in Citadel India with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Janhvi has films with Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff in the making. She also has Devara with Jr. NTR in the pipeline. The film marks her Telugu film industry debut. Varun and Janhvi have worked together in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal.
