The trailer for India’s “first" AI film titled Monica: Oru AI Story, has been released by the makers in a grand ceremony. As per the reports, the event was attended by some of the biggest names in Indian cinema.
The event took place at the Gokulam Park Convention Centre in Kochi, Kerala, where the trailer was launched by notable producer Sabu Cherian. A brand new promotional single to be featured in the film was also released at the event. The final look poster was unveiled by Malikappuram director Vishnu Shashi Shankar. Sapta Sreejith and Albert Alex were the hosts for the night.
The trailer delves into the story of a child who seems to be a mischievous pupil in school, playing tricks on others. It follows the life of the little man after he discovers an AI woman named Monica. The video was shared on the official YouTube channel of Saregama Malayalam, on May 15. Reacting to the clip, a user wrote, “Very nice trailer." A second user stated, “Super, this video." And a third fan extended their best wishes to the makers, “All the best."
At the event, the release date of the film, which is May 31, was announced by Abhilash Pillai, Malikappuram’s writer. Two of the film’s songs are written by Saraswati Samman awardee, Prabhavarma, who was honored at the event by the film’s producer, Mansoor Palloor.
Monica: Oru AI Story is being helmed by EM Ashraf. It stars the American-born Aparna Mulberry, Gopinath Muthukad, Sreepad from Malikappuram fame, Sini Abraham, Manikanthan, Kannur Sreelatha, EM Ashraf and Mansoor Palloor. It is produced by Mansoor Palloor while Subin Edappakat and KP Sreesan are the executive producers. According to reports, the cinematographer for the film is Sajeesh Raj and the editing is being done by Hari G Nair. Yunaseo is composing the music.
